Eyebrows and eyelashes

Some people with alopecia can lose their eyebrows or eyelashes - some people lose both. This can be very upsetting at first, but you can learn to recreate really cool eyebrows using make-up and there are lots of different types of whacky eyelashes available in chemist and fashion shops.

Your tips

If you have a nifty new way, tell us all about it.

Regular Headzup website user Cara says "I normally pencil in my eyebrows in a brown eye liner pencil which works really well or a brown eye shadow. If you use a small slanted brush you get the best effect."

Also from Cara, "try applying lots more eyeshadow onto your eyes, making it darker in the crease of your eye. This will draw more attention to your eyes, and less away from your head. If you do have eyebrows but they are quite light, have them tinted, again this makes your features more striking and you look lots prettier. Also wearing really nice t-shirts and tops can stop people focusing on your head." Thanks for your tips Cara!
