Will I lose all my hair?
Alopecia doesn't follow any rules.
If you have had one or two patches which have grown back in the past, they will probably grow back again and it may never get worse.
Most people have this type of alopecia, sometimes just for a few months, sometimes longer, but always just a small number of patches.
Some people’s patches spread so that they lose larger areas of hair.
Total hair loss does sometimes occur but only in a very small number of people.
