What do you want to be one day? Butcher, baker, candlestick maker? Probably not. But how about a model, a stuntman, a TV presenter or an actor? Whatever you want to be, go for it! Here are some famous people who didn't let their alopecia get in the way of what they wanted to be.

Margaret is a beautiful woman who not only works as a model but also as an actress. She started losing her hair when she was just two years old.

Gold Medallist

  Joanna Rowsell
 
Joanna Rowsell won gold at the cycling world champions in 2012.  Joanna credits the alopecia for creating the determined and tough young woman she is today.


 Duncan Goodhew
Duncan Goodhew won a gold and a bronze medal for the UK at the Olympics in Moscow in 1980. The Queen appointed him an MBE for services in sports. Duncan lost his hair when he was 10.

 Staciana Stitts

Staciana won a gold medal for the USA in 2000. Her alopecia started when she was 12 years old. She wrote a really inspiring text about what it was like to lose her hair for the American Alopecia Foundation (NAAF).
