Your question for Auklet: I'm 10 years old do a lot of swimming and have developed a small bald patch which seems to be getting bigger and I'm worried what can I do?

Dear Banana man,

Thank you for your question. Firstly It's great to hear that you do a lot of swimming, swimming is a great form of exercise and will help you stay fit and healthy.

There are a number of reasons why you may have a bald patch. The first thing you should do if you are worried is talk to your parents or guardian about going to see your doctor, they will be able to suggest some reasons for your bald patch. In the majority of cases the hair will grow back without you having to do anything. It's probably more common than you think, we get lots of emails from people about you age who have bald patches.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

Bye for now,

Auklet.
